Call for application for Pannonia Program academic mobility for the 2025/2026 academic year (outgoing students).
The International Directorate at BUEB announces the Pannonia Program for study abroad mobility application.
The purpose of mobility is to enable the acquisition of educational, linguistic and cultural experiences in a higher education institution in another Pannonia Program or Partner country. Mobility for academic purposes should promote the student’s academic progress and personal development.
The total mobility period (academic study and practical traineeship) within one study cycle can be a maximum of 12 months. The selected students can study at the host institution free of charge and receive a living allowance awarded within the framework of the Pannonia Program.
This opportunity is not available for students participating in BUEB’s Stipendium Hungaricum program.
The Pannonia Program study mobility application can be submitted via BUEB’s online application portal.
The deadline to submit applications is March 9th, 2025, 11:59 p.m.
Documents required to submit an application:
The basic requirement for the application is a motivation letter, in which you mention the following:

In the absence of a justified motivation letter, your application cannot be supported. By submitting your application, you authorize the relevant BUEB associates to read your motivation letter and use it anonymously for research and/or as a tool for improving the application process.
Please attach every relevant document you have mentioned in your motivational letter:
Selection criteria:
Other outstanding academic, sports, artistic or social/public activities, mentoring of foreign students, participation in international projects, project week courses, participation in an online international project as part of class work, etc. which you include in your motivational letter 5-5 points; in addition to the proof of language knowledge required for the mobility, 3 additional points may be awarded if you have language certificate in the host country’s native language; 5 additional points may be awarded for C1 language certificate (or equivalent).
A total of 100 points can be earned.
Preference shall be given to applications for the Double Degree Programmes. The scholarships are awarded based on the accepted point system, taking into account the planned tender funds and the faculty allocations. All applicants will be notified of this via email. Before submitting your application, it is important that you thoroughly find out about the courses offered by the selected partner institution, the language of instruction and the costs of living involved.
You can apply for study mobility at BUEB’s Pannonia Program partner institutions. You can find the list of currently eligible institutions HERE.
You can calculate the approximate amount of your scholarship in advance. The scholarship is a contribution to the implementation of your mobility plan, but it does not necessarily cover all your costs. Before you jump in, make sure to prepare a budget. The amount depends on the destination country and the period spent abroad. It is a lump sum, so there is no itemized settlement, but you must prove the completion of the mobility as per your scholarship contract. After signing the contract, you will receive the scholarship in one amount in HUF.
